Full Job Description

Frankly Wearing is seeking a Full-Time, Hybrid Ruby on Rails Developer to join our high-ownership engineering team. Based in Gurugram, Haryana, this role offers a dynamic environment where you’ll own end-to-end product development, from backend systems to frontend experiences, while driving performance, scalability, and platform reliability.
You’ll work on a monolithic Ruby on Rails framework to build and maintain features for creator-facing, customer-facing, and internal tools. Your responsibilities include:
  • Product Development: Translate product ideas into scalable, production-ready systems, ensuring seamless user experiences.
  • Full-Stack Engineering: Collaborate across backend APIs, frontend interfaces, and database design to optimize performance and usability.
  • Performance & Scalability: Improve database efficiency, caching, and system responsiveness for a large catalog-driven marketplace.
  • Integrations & Platform Systems: Develop and maintain API integrations with fulfillers, payment gateways, and marketing platforms.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, fostering engineering culture and workflow improvements.
Must-Have Skills:
  • 2-4+ years of experience building production web applications with Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong proficiency in Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and Sidekiq.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and modern frontend patterns.
  • Understanding of relational databases, performance optimization, and debugging.
  • Curiosity about AI tooling and engineering automation.
Plus Skills:
  • Ecommerce, marketplace, or creator economy experience.
  • Familiarity with search, recommendation systems, or AI-assisted coding.
