As a Senior Data Scientist within our Digital Risk - Artificial Intelligence group, you will be at the forefront of defining the future of AI while enabling safe innovation at pace. We support ambitious ideas and utilize leading practices and extensive experience in developing AI capabilities for clients across various sectors, ensuring high levels of execution and client satisfaction.

Your primary responsibilities will involve transforming data into valuable assets for clients through rapid Data Science analysis and insightful use of various techniques. You will apply your expertise in tools such as Python, Machine Learning, and AI libraries to manage the full lifecycle of Data Scientist activities, from conceptualization to operational execution. This includes managing end-to-end projects, clarifying requirements, devising research approaches, collecting and integrating data from multiple sources, analyzing for insights, and producing compelling visualizations. Staying abreast of current business and industry trends is crucial. At the core of this role is the systematic analysis and development of statistical and machine learning models for our clients across diverse markets. We are seeking talented and experienced Data Scientists to drive innovation at EY.

To qualify for this role, you should possess a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar quantitative field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. You must have strong knowledge and experience in data mining and machine learning, including algorithms, regression techniques, decision trees, clustering, pattern recognition, probability theory, statistical techniques, and dimensionality reduction.

We require experience in at least 3-4 of the following areas:

• Machine Learning / Data Science: A solid understanding of machine learning concepts and data science workflows, including data preprocessing, feature extraction, and model evaluation.
• Natural Language Processing (NLP): Basic to intermediate knowledge of NLP techniques such as lemmatization, tokenization, part-of-speech tagging, and named entity recognition. A basic understanding of transformer architecture and its significance in modern NLP tasks is also required.
• Experience with Generative AI Projects: Hands-on experience with generative AI projects, particularly those involving large language models (LLMs), and familiarity with various LLMs and their applications.
• Document Q&A Projects: Experience with question-answering systems and an understanding of architectures like Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) or Knowledge Graphs (KG).
• Vectorization and Vector Databases: Understanding of vectorization in the context of NLP and machine learning, with experience using vector databases for managing and querying high-dimensional data.
• Programming and Development: Proficiency in Python is essential. Experience developing web applications using Streamlit and knowledge of API development with frameworks like Flask are also beneficial.

Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS is considered an added advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a passion for research, are highly valued.

An ideal candidate would also have exposure to:

• Leading business or IT transformation projects supporting data science, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, and related areas at scale.
• Developing AI systems in a design, business, or technical capacity.
• Model risk management.
• Agile and/or Scrum methods of delivery.
