Role Overview

The Review-Chain Engine Engineer will build and maintain a configurable, reusable workflow and approval engine supporting multi-step reviews for procurement journeys. The system manages review stages, role-based assignments, delegation, escalations, SLAs, and audit trails.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 6+ years overall experience (including 4+ in OutSystems).
• Strong hands-on OutSystems development in production environments.
• Experience building workflow engines or multi-step business processes.
• Knowledge of state machines, transitions, rules, and exception handling.
• Role-based approvals, delegation, escalation, and SLA management expertise.
• OutSystems BPT, Workflow Builder proficiency.
• At least 1 year of AI-assisted delivery experience using tools to generate logic/tests with human review for pull requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop configurable, multi-step approval workflows and rules based on procurement methods/thresholds.
• Build delegation, escalation timers, SLA management, and audit trail reporting hooks.
• Create reusable APIs for integration with journey teams.
• Leverage OutSystems BPT, Workflow Builder, and rule configuration.
• Use AI tools to generate workflow logic/tests; validate state transitions, edge cases, concurrency, and performance at scale.
