Resident Engineer - Enterprise L1/L2 Support
Jio is seeking a skilled Resident Engineer to provide L1/L2 support for enterprise clients in Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana, India. This role involves managing and resolving technical issues for enterprise customer networks, primarily focusing on Wi-Fi solutions.
Role Overview: Enterprise Resident Engineer - L1/L2 Support
Position Level: Engineer / Sr. Engineer
Experience Required: 2-5 years
Contract Duration: 6 Months to 1 year
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site L1/L2 technical support for enterprise customer networks, with a strong emphasis on Wi-Fi solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with internal Jio teams (ESOC, ENOC, Field, NHQ) to ensure timely resolution of faults and service requests (SRs).
- Act as a primary point of contact for customer IT teams and SPOCs, addressing all service-related issues and delivery aspects.
- Monitor link status and network uptime, reporting daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Manage customer escalations and feedback in a time-bound manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Conduct First Level Testing (FLT) for Wi-Fi solutions with customer stakeholders.
- Maintain and reconcile open SR pendency reports daily with the customer.
- Monitor DC/DR links and initiate internal escalations for prompt restoration.
- Release fault management trackers to both customers and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly reports on SLA performance.
- Manage the lifecycle of Wi-Fi solutions and fault resolution across various scenarios.
- Assist the Jio team in enhancing stakeholder management at the customer end.
Required Skills and Attributes:
- Deep understanding of Wi-Fi network architecture and topology.
- Proficiency in data and IP layer fundamentals.
- Knowledge of MPLS networks is advantageous.
- Experience in handling large Telecom / ISP enterprise customer networks.
- Familiarity with Wi-Fi Access Points, switches, and controllers.
- Understanding of Wi-Fi 802.11 standards, security protocols, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Ability to work towards defined goals and organizational objectives.
- Effective communication and highlighting of customer-end issues to their IT teams.
- CCNA certification is a plus.
- Capability to drive SR resolution within stipulated timelines by coordinating with internal Jio teams.
- Ability to make quick decisions while adhering to company guidelines, procedures, and processes.
- Strong coordination skills with field teams and internal departments.
