Research Engineer

Quantiphi's Applied Research unit is seeking a Research Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India. This role focuses on pushing the boundaries of AI technologies, particularly in Applied ML, through ideation, innovative solution building, and advanced prototyping.

As a Research Engineer, you will work on building traditional and deep-learning models using structured and unstructured data. You will explore various AI research areas, develop end-to-end ML pipelines, and create rapid prototypes to prove concepts in domains like Computer Vision, NLP, and Reinforcement Learning within defined timelines.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with Solution Architects on cutting-edge solutions, benchmarking techniques, and documenting knowledge for broader dissemination through technical content creation and publication.

Ideal candidates possess an in-depth understanding of ML concepts and their mathematical underpinnings. You should have hands-on experience developing and deploying models in areas such as Computer Vision, NLP, and LLMs. Familiarity with cloud environments (GCP/AWS) and ML frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch), along with experience in large-scale distributed training, is essential. Strong coding skills, adaptability to new technologies, and the ability to translate complex ideas into accessible formats (blogs, presentations, publications) are crucial. Prior R&D experience or publications in top-tier ML conferences is a significant advantage.
