The Data Analyst role within the ISG Provider Services team focuses on diverse data management tasks. This position requires collaboration with multiple internal teams to effectively manage various databases, encompassing data collection, cleaning, storage, and retrieval.

Ideal candidates will possess some familiarity with the ITO or BPO industry, exhibit exceptional organizational skills, and demonstrate strong English writing and speaking abilities. Crucially, a solid foundation in data analysis and analytical thinking is expected. Prior experience in secondary research would be a significant advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct custom data extractions from ISG's proprietary databases to fulfill specific internal and external client requirements.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to refine data collection and management processes.
• Develop and maintain a structured referential database using a standard template. This involves thoroughly understanding contracts within the ITO and BPO services domain and populating the database with contract-specific data points.
• Manage and maintain databases within a SQL environment, including periodic data updates and ongoing maintenance.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the underlying data, its business implications, and its application in research and consulting deliverables.
• Support the development of Excel models and automated templates to enhance operational efficiency.
• Partner with other teams on data manipulation and database management tasks.
• Demonstrate the ability and strong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.
• Effectively manage time and handle multiple projects with demanding deadlines.

Technical Skills Required:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in data management, data analysis, and research, preferably within the ITO and BPO sectors.
• Proficiency in analyzing large datasets.
• Capability to perform ongoing data enhancement activities, including normalizing anomalies and consistently identifying relevant data points.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including but not limited to PivotTables, Power Pivot, Power Query, dashboard creation, and advanced formulas.
• Preferred hands-on experience in web scraping using Python and/or Power Automate.
• Familiarity with open-source AI tools and the ability to apply them to specific requirements.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for efficient data extraction, manipulation, and processing.
• Ability to locate and acquire information from unstructured documents.
• Skill in extracting meaningful insights, formulating data-driven viewpoints, analyzing available data, and augmenting missing information using appropriate statistical methods.
• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, coordinating with teams in US and European regions.
