Remote Software Engineer – Ruby

Turing seeks experienced Tech Lead-level Software Engineers with Ruby expertise to contribute to building LLM evaluation and training datasets. Your role will involve analyzing GitHub repositories, automating development environments, triaging issues, and evaluating test coverage. You’ll collaborate with researchers to design repositories and tasks challenging for LLMs, modify codebases, and assess LLM performance in bug-fixing scenarios. Opportunities to lead junior engineers and work on impactful AI projects in a fully remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open-source libraries.
• Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment setup.
• Evaluate unit test coverage and quality.
• Modify and run real-world projects locally to assess LLM performance.
• Collaborate with researchers to identify and design repositories/issues for LLM evaluation.
• Lead junior engineers on projects.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of overall experience.
• Strong proficiency in Ruby and Git.
• Experience with Docker and basic software pipelines.
• Ability to navigate complex codebases and contribute to open-source projects.
