Full Job Description
Turing is seeking a Remote Senior Software Engineer – Python to contribute to groundbreaking work in LLM evaluation and training datasets. This role focuses on developing verifiable software engineering (SWE) tasks using public GitHub repositories, integrating human-in-the-loop approaches to expand dataset coverage across programming languages, difficulty levels, and more.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and triaging GitHub issues in trending open-source libraries.
- Setting up and configuring code repositories, including Dockerization and environment setup.
- Evaluating unit test coverage and code quality.
- Modifying and running real-world projects locally to assess LLM performance in bug-fixing scenarios.
- Collaborating with researchers to identify and design challenging repositories and issues for LLM evaluation.
- Potential leadership opportunities to mentor junior engineers on projects.
Ideal candidates must have 3+ years of experience as a senior software engineer with expertise in Python and Git. Strong proficiency in Docker, software pipelines, and complex codebase navigation is essential. Experience with open-source contributions and LLM research is a plus.
