Full Job Description
Turing is seeking a **Remote Senior Software Engineer – Python** to contribute to groundbreaking projects in LLM (Large Language Model) evaluation and training. This role focuses on building verifiable software engineering (SWE) tasks using public GitHub repositories in a synthetic, human-in-the-loop approach. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing and triaging GitHub issues across trending open-source libraries.
- Setting up and configuring code repositories, including Dockerization and environment setup.
- Evaluating unit test coverage and code quality.
- Modifying and running codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug-fixing scenarios.
- Collaborating with researchers to identify challenging repositories and issues for LLM evaluation.
- Potential leadership opportunities to mentor junior engineers.
**Required Skills:**
- Minimum 3+ years of overall software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Advanced experience with Git, Docker, and basic software pipelines.
- Ability to navigate and understand complex codebases.
- Experience running, modifying, and testing real-world projects locally.
- Prior open-source contribution or evaluation experience is a plus.
