Full Job Description
Mercy Health in Oregon, OH is seeking a skilled and certified Registered Sleep Tech to join their outpatient team on a PRN basis. This role is crucial for providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. The Registered Sleep Tech will operate polysomnographic equipment, conduct diagnostic recordings, and meticulously document technical reports to assist physicians in interpreting sleep study data. Responsibilities include patient preparation, explaining procedures, reviewing clinical data, and adapting testing modalities based on patient information and physician needs. The ideal candidate will be proficient in administering neurodiagnostic procedures independently, monitoring test quality, managing resources prudently, and adhering to all hospital and departmental policies. Key tasks include performing sleep staging and event scoring according to American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines, troubleshooting polysomnographic and office equipment, and assisting with patient scheduling and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of sleep disorders medicine and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare setting.
