Sopra Banking Software is seeking a motivated R&D Senior Software Development Engineer 2 (Technical Lead) with expertise in Java to join our Research and Development team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable product features.
• Lead architectural discussions and make critical technical decisions for complex modules.
• Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices for continuous learning and development.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from requirement analysis through to deployment and ongoing support.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and security through rigorous reviews, automation, and testing.
• Collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Architects, and QA teams to align technical strategies with business objectives.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges.
• Champion the adoption of modern tools, technologies, and DevOps practices to enhance productivity and quality.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and integrate relevant innovations into product development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6–8 years of professional software development experience with a strong command of Java and related technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience leading technical teams in product development.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring (Core, MVC, Boot), Hibernate/JPA, and RESTful API development.
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React.js, TypeScript, jQuery, alongside HTML5/CSS.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (S3, CloudWatch, IAM, Lambda).
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Git) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid database experience with SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Python or Node.js for backend microservices is a plus.
• A strong commitment to software quality, scalability, performance, testability, and security.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and end-to-end solution driving capabilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-team and stakeholder interactions.
