About the Role

As an R&D Java Staff Software Development Engineer 2 at Soprasteria's Noida, Uttar Pradesh location, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our banking and financing solutions. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to contribute to architectural design and product roadmap definition, ensuring the end-to-end delivery of product releases. Working within openly collaborative, non-hierarchical R&D teams, you will foster an environment of respect and agility, focused on continuous improvement of technology and processes. Your responsibilities will include challenging and supporting engineering practices to enhance product quality, ensuring solution quality and efficiency through product team governance, and mentoring team members while reinforcing organizational values and culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the architectural design of our banking and financing products.
• Participate in defining the product roadmap and support end-to-end delivery of product releases.
• Build innovative software products for banking and financing institutions.
• Foster an environment of continuous improvement in technology and processes.
• Enhance product quality through constructive challenge and support of engineering practices.
• Ensure the quality and efficiency of solutions through effective product team governance.
• Mentor team members and champion organizational values and culture.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher engineering degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven hands-on experience delivering solutions using Java and open-source technologies in global organizations.
• Proficiency in Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, MongoDB or PostgreSQL, microservices architecture, Reactive programming (Spring Reactor), Redis (caching), Angular (GUI), and Cloud computing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent data structures and algorithms skills with experience in digital transformation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to support organizational goals.
• Experience in technical design implementation using Microservices Design Principles/Patterns and Cloud-Ready/Native application technology stacks.
• Experience with large enterprise-grade components.
• Solid understanding and experience working in an agile environment.
• Good understanding of DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Prior experience in the banking or finance domain is a plus.
