Join Keysight Technologies in Kolkata, West Bengal, as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the development of products for ultra-high speed networks and AI Data Centers. This role is crucial in shaping technical direction, driving innovation, and ensuring our products lead technological advancements. You will act as a technical champion and consultant to senior management, involved in all aspects of the product lifecycle: architecture, design, development, testing, and customer support.

Responsibilities:

• Software Development and Problem Solving: Apply strong software development and debugging skills to solve complex problems using algorithms and data structures within large codebases.
• Automation and Modern Software Development Workflow: Utilize scripting languages (shell script, Perl, Python) for task automation and embrace Agile, Test Driven Development, API-first approaches, and DevOps workflows.
• Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, demonstrating an open mind and a willingness to learn. Collaborate individually and within a team with minimal guidance, and engage with customers at senior technical levels.
• Continuous Learning: Possess a strong interest in technology, communicate with opinionated technologists across the company on emerging areas, and quickly acquire new technology skills.
• Emerging Technologies and Industry Trends Leadership: Stay current with technological advancements and apply them to drive innovation and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; MS preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in product development, covering the complete product development cycle.
• Proficiency in C/C++/Python programming and debugging in a Linux environment.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, continuous integration, and delivery tools.
• Understanding of Kubernetes, Containers, and Cloud environments is advantageous.
• Networking Expertise: Strong programming and domain knowledge in high-performance network and socket programming, with experience in Layer 2-3 routing-switching protocols and Layer 4-7 protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, QUIC) is highly preferred.
