Full Job Description
This role involves the development and calibration of data analytic models and tools, leveraging Machine Learning and Large Language Models. You will collaborate with users to refine these models, delivering applications that provide tangible revenue or efficiency benefits. The position requires developing frameworks for creating and managing sophisticated, data-intensive models and their underlying data, as well as establishing frameworks for testing these models. You will work with model risk management and other control functions to ensure compliance with regulatory and firm governance, and collaborate closely with development teams for seamless integration into the firm's technology stack. Presenting the team's work to management and stakeholders is also a key responsibility.
Qualifications include a PhD in a quantitative field and additional industry experience. Practical experience in statistics, data analytics, or artificial intelligence is essential, along with knowledge of developing and testing mathematical models in an industry context. Proficiency in Python, including data handling and building mathematical model prototypes, is required. Knowledge of Java and experience with the software development lifecycle and Agile development are advantageous. The ability to work collaboratively and present concepts and solutions clearly to diverse audiences is crucial.
