About the Role: Quantitative AI and Data Analyst at Morgan Stanley

Morgan Stanley is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative AI and Data Analyst to join our team in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will be instrumental in the development and calibration of advanced data analytic models and tools. You will leverage a range of techniques, including Machine Learning and Large Language Models, to create applications that drive tangible revenue and efficiency benefits for the firm.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and calibrating data analytic models and tools using Machine Learning and Large Language Models.
• Collaborating with users to refine models and tools for practical applications.
• Creating and managing sophisticated, data-intensive models and their underlying data.
• Testing models and developing frameworks for rigorous evaluation.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm governance through collaboration with model risk management and control functions.
• Working closely with development teams for seamless integration into the firm's technology stack.
• Presenting the team's work to management and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• A PhD in a quantitative field is essential, along with additional industry experience.
• Practical experience in statistics, data analytics, or artificial intelligence, with a strong understanding of developing and testing mathematical models in an industry context.
• Proficiency in Python, including data handling and building prototypes of mathematical models.
• Ability to work collaboratively and present concepts and solutions clearly to diverse audiences.

Advantageous Skills:

• Knowledge of Java.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle and Agile development methodologies.
