Adient, a prominent automotive seating company, is seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer for their Warren, Michigan location. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance throughout daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing critical production data, developing robust testing procedures, and meticulously ensuring compliance with all relevant automotive industry standards. Furthermore, this position actively drives and implements continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes. The role requires adherence to BOS, ISO/TS-16949, and Customer Specific requirements, a thorough understanding of plant and customer KPIs, and participation in Layered Process Audits. Key responsibilities include supporting PPAP package preparation, developing and updating Control Plans and PFMEAs, creating inspection and containment plans, utilizing customer-specific systems, conducting capability studies, and interfacing directly with external customers for issue resolution and communication between the plant and the customer. This role also involves initiating and managing Quality Alerts and confirming root causes and corrective actions for customer-returned materials.
