Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior QA Playwright Automation Engineer to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. This role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of seamless and reliable customer experiences across our mobile platforms. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining robust mobile automation test coverage, supporting rapid product development cycles. Close collaboration with development, product management, and support teams will be key to releasing high-quality, user-trusted products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test suites for web applications using Playwright, and for iOS and Android applications utilizing tools such as Appium, XCUITest, or equivalent.
- Create effective test scripts in Typescript, JavaScript, Java, or Python to validate critical customer-facing functionalities and mobile application performance.
- Execute and analyze test results, integrating them into continuous integration workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Jenkins).
- Identify, track, and validate bugs, performance bottlenecks, and edge cases in collaboration with engineering and support teams.
- Perform regression testing and smoke tests to ensure product stability before mobile releases.
- Manage test data, automate repetitive validation tasks, and continuously enhance test reliability.
- Work closely with customer support and product teams to replicate and diagnose user-reported issues.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of test scenarios, results, and identified issues.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years dedicated to automating mobile applications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in testing both customer-facing web applications and mobile apps across iOS and Android platforms.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks including Playwright, Appium, XCUITest, and Espresso.
- Familiarity with REST API testing using tools like Postman.
- Experience working effectively in fast-paced, agile environments with evolving priorities and short release cycles.
- Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms such as AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack, or Firebase Test Lab.
- Practical knowledge of databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) for data validation purposes.
- A strong user-centric approach, ensuring usability and functionality in production environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate issues and steps to reproduce them.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in a startup or growth-stage company environment is advantageous.
- Ability to align work hours with U.S. Eastern time zone is a plus.
