QA Engineer

About The Role

Somniosoftware is seeking a QA Engineer (Software Engineering) to help design, build, test, and maintain software applications. In this role, you will work with colleagues across product, design, and engineering in the United States to turn requirements into practical technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software features that meet product requirements and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with partners to clarify user needs, assess technical options, and break work into manageable deliverables.
• Write readable, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern development tools.
• Review code thoughtfully, share knowledge, and incorporate feedback to improve solutions.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve defects, performance concerns, and other technical issues through automated testing practices.
• Participate in planning, estimation, and technical discussions while monitoring released features for ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates have professional experience in software development or equivalent practical experience. A solid understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and design principles is required. Experience with APIs, databases, cloud-based systems, and version control (Git) is an advantage.
