QA Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our team in Pune. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our eCommerce acceleration platform. You will collaborate closely with development teams to identify, document, and track defects, contributing to the overall success of our product releases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough functional and web-based testing.
• Develop and maintain test cases, scenarios, and artefacts.
• Execute API testing using tools like SOAP UI or Postman, for both SOAP and REST requests.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and perform database testing.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to a Scrum-based development process.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using various automation tools.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks, including POM and Hybrid frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and methodologies.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of technical experience in Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of Testing Concepts, Defect Management, Test Case writing, and Test Scenario identification.
• In-depth knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Comprehensive understanding of quality assurance methodologies.
• Proficiency in Functional and Web-Based Testing.
• Experience with Automation Testing, including API testing and script implementation.
• Proven ability to create, implement, and maintain test scripts.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Page Object Model (POM) or Hybrid Frameworks.
• Familiarity with public cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus.
• Solid database knowledge, with the ability to write and execute basic to moderate SQL queries.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification is advantageous.
