Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer for Alpha Insurance Solutions (Quotesurance) in Bangalore. This hands-on role involves building a comprehensive quality assurance function from the ground up within a fast-paced startup environment, covering both manual testing and automation across web and API layers.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Own end-to-end QA for Quotesurance across web and API layers in Bangalore.
  • Create manual test plans for new features and releases tailored to local market needs.
  • Develop automated test suites using modern frameworks like Playwright or Cypress, with a focus on TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Manage bug tracking cycles using tools such as Jira, ensuring efficient resolution paths.
  • Validate integrations with third-party vendors and carrier systems within the insurance sector.
  • Evaluate CI/CD pipelines for automated testing workflows in cloud environments like AWS.

    • Required Qualifications:

    • +3 years of combined experience in manual and automation QA, targeting mid-level proficiency (4-7 years total).
    • Mastery of API testing with Postman or REST Assured.
    • BDD framework expertise using Cucumber/Gherkin for clear test documentation.
    • Strong SQL skills to verify data integrity during complex insurance transactions.

    Candidates should demonstrate a 'go-getter' attitude, adaptability in ambiguous startup settings, and excellent written communication skills. Experience with AI/LLM testing or performance load testing is advantageous but not essential for this Bangalore-based role.
