QA Engineer

Reveation Labs is seeking a passionate QA Engineer for a full-time, permanent role in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This hybrid position operates on an evening shift (1:30 PM - 10:30 PM) and involves working on solutions for a US-based client in the insurance industry.

As a QA Engineer, you will be integral to ensuring software quality through meticulous manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical abilities, a keen eye for detail, and hands-on experience with various testing tools and methodologies. You'll join a dynamic team committed to delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual and automated testing for web-based applications.
• Analyze business requirements to develop comprehensive and well-structured test cases.
• Execute test cases, meticulously logging defects with detailed information.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Perform comprehensive testing, including regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Assist in troubleshooting and provide detailed documentation for issues.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Document test results and generate test summary reports.
• Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks.
• Ensure applications meet both functional and non-functional requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in software testing (manual and automation).
• Proven experience in web application testing and backend/API testing.
• Proficiency in creating test cases and test scripts.
• Practical experience with tools such as Selenium, Postman, JIRA, TestNG, or similar.
• Solid understanding of testing concepts and the defect lifecycle.
• Experience with at least one programming/scripting language (Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript).
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Knowledge of SQL and the ability to write queries for backend testing.
• ISTQB certification or a similar QA certification.
• Experience in the insurance or e-commerce domain.
• Exposure to performance or security testing tools (JMeter, OWASP, etc.).

Background Verification: A background check, including education, employment history, criminal records, and reference checks, will be conducted as part of the onboarding process.

Compensation: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month.
