Python Software Engineer

Role Overview:

The Applications Development Analyst position focuses on developing, testing, and maintaining application systems and microservices within a fast-paced agile environment. You will contribute to technical design, programming, system analysis, and automated deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Microservices & APIs: Design and develop Python-based microservices (FastAPI / Flask) and RESTful APIs using modern frameworks.
• Coding Standards: Write clean, modular core Python code adhering to OOP concepts, functional paradigms, and asynchronous programming best practices.
• NoSQL Databases: Implement data persistence layers utilizing MongoDB and Couchbase for efficient indexing and query performance.
• Containerization: Containerize services using Docker and deploy workloads onto Kubernetes / OpenShift clusters.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Collaborate with automated pipelines (Helm, Harness) for continuous building, testing, and deployment.
• Few-Stack Development: Build frontend interfaces with Angular where required and integrate Generative AI capabilities into backend workflows.
• Semantic Modeling: Assist in building semantic models, embeddings, and structured schemas to support intelligent data retrieval.
• Agile Practices: Actively participate in standups, sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives within an Agile/Scrum team.

Required Technical Skills:

You must possess a strong foundation in Python (asyncio), experience with microservices architecture using FastAPI or Flask, hands-on work with NoSQL databases like MongoDB/Couchbase, proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes (Pods, Deployments, ConfigMaps), and knowledge of Git workflows.

Preferred Skills:

• Frontend: Working knowledge of Angular (v12+), TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, CSS/SCSS for full-stack delivery.
• GenAI & LLMs: Experience with prompt engineering, LLM APIs, LangChain, ADK, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Data Engineering: Familiarity with Kafka, Apache Spark, SQL optimization, and batch/stream processing concepts.
