Python SDET

About The Role

Join the SAS9 team at our Pune R&D Centre as a Python SDET. You will contribute to developing and maintaining the SAS9 middle tier platform, participating in design work for large-scale application components within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform validation and testing of SAS Software across Windows and Unix platforms.
• Manage installation and configuration of testing environments to support continuous deployment infrastructure.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills for debugging complex software systems.
• Leverage Python, Shell scripts, Jenkins, and internal tools to automate the deployment process.
• Install and administer databases including Postgres, Oracle, MySQL, SAS or related DBMS.
• Administer Linux and Windows operating systems alongside SAS applications.
• Design and implement automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts tailored to specific needs.
• Create comprehensive test plans (cases, scenarios) and strategies with clear intent.
• Identify risks, issues, and defects throughout the project lifecycle, managing them until closure.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of relevant experience required.
• Proven expertise in administering Windows and Unix operating systems.
• Knowledge of security concepts using tools like Snyk or Blackduck.
• Strong debugging skills, logical problem-solving capability, and ability to quickly adopt new technologies as a self-starter.
• Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Python, Shell Script, Java for automation.
• Aptitude for working with large legacy products like SAS9.
• Basic understanding of Cloud computing concepts and hypervisors.
• Experience using AI Dev tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance development workflows.
