Morgan Stanley is seeking a Python/Java Cloud Developer with a Director-level focus on Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering. This role is part of a global team responsible for developing and implementing automation and configuration as code for Public Cloud Kubernetes and foundational architecture across multiple Cloud Service Providers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure and Public Cloud technologies, with experience in setting up and connecting complex, multi-tier applications from on-premise to the Public Cloud. Collaboration with Product Management and Vendors to deploy Cloud services meeting customer expectations is key. Experience with agile practices like scrum and kanban is expected. A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is generally required. Specific skills include proficiency in Kubernetes and container-based technologies; experience with GCP, Azure, or AWS; solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform; strong development skills in Python or Golang; proficiency in scripting languages like Shell Scripting; experience developing projects in a distributed enterprise environment; and familiarity with modern development tools and practices such as git, github, github actions, Jenkins, test-driven development, and continuous integration in a Linux-based environment. A strong understanding of DevOps, infrastructure, and cloud computing is essential. The role also involves mentoring junior programmers and conducting constructive code reviews. Experience with RESTful APIs for managing and configuring compute and storage infrastructure is also required.
