Python (FastAPI) Engineer - AI/ML Focus
Codewinglet is seeking a passionate Python (FastAPI) Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to join our AI/ML-focused product team. You will play a key role in developing robust backend systems powered by FastAPI and Python. Your work will involve building and enhancing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and microservices that support advanced AI/ML applications. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful AI-first products and work with cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable microservices using Python and FastAPI.
- Build and optimize RAG pipelines for intelligent data retrieval and generation.
- Develop and maintain efficient RESTful APIs.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Bicep for managing cloud infrastructure.
- Integrate Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) mechanisms, potentially using tools like Oso.
- Work with MS SQL and Cosmos DB for effective data storage and management.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps, AI teams, and frontend engineers to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Uphold high standards of code quality, scalability, and performance through comprehensive testing and clean architecture principles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-5 years of experience in backend Python development.
- Strong proficiency in FastAPI and RESTful API design.
- Basic understanding of RAG pipelines and LLM-based applications.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Familiarity with MS SQL and Cosmos DB.
- Understanding of security best practices and RBAC.
- Exposure to DevOps tools, CI/CD, and cloud platforms is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
