Python Developer

About the Role

We seek a high-taste Python engineer (5+ years experience) with expertise in building/maintaining pipelines and infrastructure. You will work hands-on with preference data collection, rubric creation, and evaluating quality to separate good examples from great ones.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design, refine, and iterate on evaluation criteria for preference datasets
• Review and label data with a high standard for quality, identifying subtle issues others might miss
• Build and maintain infrastructure supporting scalable data generation workflows
• Synthesize technical findings into clear summaries and actionable recommendations for the team
• Collaborate closely with researchers to translate qualitative judgment into robust engineering processes

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of proficiency in Python (pipeline/infra focus) or TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with preference data and rubric creation using VSCode/large codebases
• Excellent written communication skills to distill complex technical work into clear, actionable summaries
• Demonstrated high-taste judgment: able to articulate why something is good, not just that it works
