Python Developer

Sutherland is looking for a skilled Python Developer with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our team in Chennai, India. This role is ideal for a candidate passionate about machine learning and computer vision, with practical experience in deploying and training ML models for computer vision applications. You will also work with Generative AI models utilizing popular open-source frameworks such as LLaMA, Mistral, and others. Technical Skills:

• 2-4 years of hands-on Python development experience, specializing in machine learning and computer vision.
• Demonstrated experience in setting up and training machine learning models for computer vision use cases.
• Proficiency in working with Generative AI using open-source models like LLaMA, Mistral, or similar frameworks.
• Strong command of machine learning frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
• Solid understanding of data preprocessing, model evaluation, and optimization strategies.
• Experience in AI/ML research and development, exploring novel tools and methodologies for complex problem-solving.
• Ability to work autonomously, with a strong desire to learn and apply new technologies to practical applications.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and adaptability to dynamic project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain high-performance machine learning models, especially for computer vision applications.
• Engage in Generative AI use cases by leveraging open-source models (LLaMA, Mistral, etc.) to create innovative solutions.
• Train, fine-tune, and optimize machine learning models using real-world datasets and specific use case requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective AI/ML technical solutions.
• Conduct research and development into emerging AI technologies and tools to discover new approaches for existing and new use cases.
• Create and maintain scripts, tools, and workflows for data preparation, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning, computer vision, and Generative AI, integrating these insights into projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to model performance, data integrity, and deployment pipelines.
• Document all code, processes, and technical decisions to facilitate team knowledge sharing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) models and associated frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for AI/ML model deployment.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker for scalable AI deployments.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies.
