Python Backend Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Python Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems for a client in Pune. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong Python fundamentals who can develop robust APIs and integrate enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using JSON-based data structures (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
• Design optimized database schemas (SQL/NoSQL) for high-performance applications.
• Integrate with enterprise systems, message queues, and third-party services.
• Analyze requirements to deliver effective software solutions across the full SDLC.
• Write unit/integration tests ensuring high code coverage and reliability.

Required Skills:

• 4-10 years of professional experience with Python (mandatory).
• Expertise in web frameworks, Git version control, SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and OOP design principles.
• Strong debugging skills within an Agile environment.

Nice to Have:

• NoSQL experience (MongoDB, Redis) and task queues (Celery, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
