Role Overview:

The Automation Engineer plays a key role within the Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE), contributing to M&G's transformation agenda by designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions. The position empowers India 2.0 ambition through scalable digital capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse business processes using Python/TypeScript frameworks to identify automation opportunities.
• Develop reusable scripts, APIs, and workflow components adhering to CoE best practices.
• Automate data integrations, reporting activities, and system interactions across enterprise applications.
• Create comprehensive process documentation including requirement documents, design specs, test plans, and deployment artefacts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business SMEs, Transformation, Technology) to deliver strategic solutions.
• Support Hypercare, production monitoring, incident management, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Tech Stack & Requirements:

• Experience: 4–5 years with Python scripting/automation development; TypeScript knowledge is a plus.
• Cloud Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Storage) and CI/CD concepts.
• Educational Qualification: Graduate in Engineering / Computer Science or related discipline.
