PT Service Team Member - West Springfield, MA
Join Michaels Stores in West Springfield, MA, as a Part-Time Service Team Member and be the friendly face of creativity. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional customer experiences, from assisting shoppers in finding the perfect products to ensuring a swift and pleasant checkout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service, assisting with product location and offering solutions.
- Execute fast and efficient checkouts, including accurate cash handling.
- Promote and enroll customers in the Michaels Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
- Educate customers about the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
- Support omnichannel services like Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
- Assist with truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POG) execution.
- Manage merchandise recovery and store maintenance to ensure a well-organized and stocked sales floor.
- Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
- Contribute to shrink and safety initiatives.
- Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company policies for compliance and operational excellence.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment, embodying the company's vision and values.
- Opportunity for cross-training in Custom Framing sales and production.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and assist customers in locating products.
- Skill in executing quick and friendly checkouts with accurate cash handling.
- Proficiency in engaging customers about loyalty programs and credit cards.
- Familiarity with VOC surveys is a plus.
- Experience with omnichannel retail processes (BOPIS, SFS) is beneficial.
- Ability to participate in inventory management tasks including truck unloading and stocking.
- Capability to maintain store recovery standards and merchandise presentation.
- Understanding of inventory optimization and visual merchandising (AD sets).
- Commitment to supporting safety and loss prevention programs.
- Adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills, promoting a positive and respectful team atmosphere.
- Willingness to undergo training in Custom Framing.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the store.
- Physical ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, stretch, and handle heavy boxes, potentially using ladders.
- Must meet all federal, state, and local legal requirements for employment in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
