Psychologist for Home-Based Elder Care in Pune

Aaji Care is seeking a qualified and empathetic Psychologist or Dementia Care expert to join our team in Pune, Maharashtra. This role focuses on providing essential one-on-one mental health support to elders within their homes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and cognitive assessments for elders.
• Develop and implement personalized mental well-being plans, including interventions for memory, attention, and problem-solving.
• Provide individual therapy to address common issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment disorders, and loneliness.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques like reminiscence therapy, mindfulness, cognitive stimulation therapy (CST), and behavioral activation.
• Manage and address behavioral changes associated with aging and neurocognitive disorders.
• Offer grief counseling and emotional support to elders and their families.
• Educate families and caregivers on effectively managing dementia-related behaviors and supporting elders' emotional health.
• Collaborate closely with caregivers, families, and medical professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care.
• Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications, stress management, and coping strategies to enhance elders' quality of life.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all assessments, interventions, and progress reports.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or Geriatric Psychology is required.
• Demonstrated strong communication, empathy, and active listening skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel to elders' homes in specific areas of Pune, including NIBM, Wanowrie, Prabhat Road, Mangaldas Road, and Nigdi Pradhikaran.
• Familiarity with mental health concerns common in aging populations, including neurodegenerative disorders.
• Prior experience in elder care, dementia care, or home-based therapy is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in English and Marathi is essential.

Job Type: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month

Expected Hours: 27 per week
