Job Title: Prompt Engineer / Conversational AI Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Prompt Engineer with significant expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Conversational AI systems. This pivotal role involves the comprehensive design, structuring, rigorous testing, and ongoing optimization of prompts across various domain-specific use cases. The primary objective is to maximize response quality, ensure reliability and safety, and deliver substantial business value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and refine system, developer, and user prompts tailored for diverse domain-specific applications, including but not limited to customer support, education, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and enterprise knowledge assistants.
• Develop and implement prompt templates and reusable prompt components to facilitate scalable deployment across the organization.
• Define and meticulously test prompt tone, persona, verbosity, and response style to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and user experience (UX) standards.
• Evaluate prompt effectiveness through various methods, including human-in-the-loop evaluation, automated prompt scoring, and direct comparison of outputs.
• Define clear input and output schemas for conversational AI pipelines to ensure smooth data flow and processing.
• Work with both structured and unstructured data sources to effectively integrate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers for seamless model integration, product managers for accurate requirement translation, and UX teams for sophisticated conversational design.
• Document comprehensive prompt strategies, establish clear usage guidelines, and disseminate best practices to promote consistent and high-quality AI interactions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Possess a strong foundational understanding of LLM frameworks, key performance metrics, and conversational AI systems.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience with advanced prompt engineering techniques and patterns, as well as robust evaluation methodologies for LLM outputs.
• Exhibit a keen ability to critically and systematically analyze LLM outputs to identify areas for improvement.
• Showcase strong documentation and interpersonal communication skills, essential for team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Bring a solid background in working with conversational AI, LLMs, or in the development of AI products.
• Experience across multiple industry domains is considered a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI deployments and their unique challenges is highly desirable.
• A background in linguistics, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is a valuable plus.
