Johnson Controls is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer specializing in Fire Access Systems, CCTV, and Access Control Systems for our operations in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. This role is integral to overseeing the design, installation, integration, and commissioning of critical safety and security systems within buildings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing the installation of fire alarm systems, surveillance systems, and access control solutions, coupled with excellent project management skills and technical expertise to ensure adherence to industry standards and client requirements.

As a Project Engineer, you will lead projects for the installation and commissioning of Fire Access Systems, CCTV, and Access Control Systems, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion. You will oversee the installation, configuration, and commissioning of these systems, ensuring they are fully operational and compliant with all relevant regulations and client expectations. A key responsibility will be the integration of these systems with other building management systems (BMS), such as HVAC, lighting, and energy management, for seamless operation. You will maintain comprehensive project documentation, including designs, wiring diagrams, as-built drawings, operation manuals, test reports, and compliance certificates. Furthermore, you will provide post-installation support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair, offering expert guidance to clients. Coordination with internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers will be crucial for smooth project delivery. You will also ensure all installed systems meet regulatory compliance requirements and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage projects for the installation and commissioning of Fire Access Systems, CCTV, and Access Control Systems, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to client specifications.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and commissioning of fire alarm systems, CCTV, and access control systems, ensuring systems are fully operational and meet all relevant regulations and client expectations.
  • Integrate Fire Access, CCTV, and Access Control Systems with other building management systems (BMS) for seamless operation, ensuring compatibility between various systems such as HVAC, lighting, and energy management.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including system designs, wiring diagrams, as-built drawings, operation manuals, test reports, and compliance certificates.
  • Provide post-installation support, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery and adherence to timelines.
  • Ensure that all installed systems meet regulatory compliance requirements, including fire safety codes, security standards, and industry best practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, offering project updates, resolving queries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Diploma Degree in Engineering, Security Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire access systems, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with fire alarm systems, CCTV cameras and surveillance systems, and access control systems (e.g., proximity card readers, biometric scanners).
  • Proven track record of managing security and fire safety systems projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve issues on-site and during system commissioning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and team members.
