Project Engineer

Johnson Controls is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Engineer - BMS Systems for their Gurgaon, India location. This role focuses on the design, installation, integration, and commissioning of critical safety and security systems, specifically Fire Access Systems, CCTV, and Access Control Systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and technical expertise to ensure installations meet industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage projects for the installation and commissioning of Fire Access Systems, CCTV, and Access Control Systems, ensuring on-time, within-budget, and specification-compliant delivery.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and commissioning of fire alarm, CCTV, and access control systems, ensuring full operational status and compliance with regulations.
• Integrate Fire Access, CCTV, and Access Control Systems with other Building Management Systems (BMS) like HVAC, lighting, and energy management for seamless operation.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including designs, diagrams, as-built drawings, manuals, test reports, and compliance certificates.
• Provide post-installation support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of systems, offering expert guidance to clients.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers for smooth project delivery.
• Ensure all installed systems comply with regulatory requirements, fire safety codes, security standards, and industry best practices.
• Act as the primary client point of contact, providing project updates and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Diploma Degree in Engineering, Security Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire access, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, CCTV cameras, surveillance systems, and access control systems (e.g., proximity card readers, biometric scanners).
• Proven track record in managing security and fire safety systems projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
