Project Engineer

Johnson Controls is seeking a Project Engineer (Contingent Worker) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, to join our project delivery organization. In this role, you will be responsible for providing engineering and installation solutions, ensuring production, testing, and documentation comply with customer specifications and QA standards. You will manage engineering tasks for large construction, fit-out, and expansion projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Installation and commissioning of chillers, pumps, panels, AHUs, and low-side activities.
• Coordination with engineers and supervision of structural, controls, and plumbing professional services.
• Designing mechanical work for industrial projects and developing cost-saving measures.
• Collaborating with project managers to focus on deliverable scope and improve project financials.
• Proactive customer interaction, understanding customer needs, scope, and existing systems.
• Assisting the sales team during the bid phase with technical recommendations.
• Providing leadership to junior engineers, technicians, and apprentices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 4-6 years of experience or a Diploma with 6-7 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
• Strong hands-on experience in HVAC, refrigeration packages, chillers, pumps, low-side piping, and HVAC engineering.
• Ability to work collaboratively, be focused, and passionate about project execution in complex environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills.
• High organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
