Project Engineer

Johnson Controls is seeking a Project Engineer (Contingent Worker) to join their project delivery organization in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. This role is responsible for providing engineering and installation solutions, ensuring that the production, testing, and documentation of systems comply with customer specifications and QA standards. The Project Engineer will manage engineering tasks for various projects, including large construction, smaller fit-outs, and expansion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engineering and installation solutions within the project delivery organization.
• Ensure compliance of production, testing, and documentation control with customer specifications and QA standards.
• Manage engineering tasks for large construction, fit-out, and expansion projects.
• Possess knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of chillers, pumps, panels, AHUs, and low-side activities.
• Coordinate with engineers and supervise structural, controls, and plumbing professional services.
• Design mechanical work for industrial projects and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with project managers to focus on deliverable scope and improve project financials.
• Engage proactively with customers to understand their needs, scope, and existing systems.
• Assist the sales team during the bid phase by providing technical recommendations and reviews.
• Provide leadership to junior engineers, technicians, and apprentices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years of experience or a Diploma with 6-7 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills, including MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
• Strong hands-on experience in HVAC, refrigeration packages, chillers, pumps, low-side piping, and HVAC engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others.
