
Project Cybersecurity Engineer
Full Job Description
Alstom is seeking a full-time Project Cybersecurity Engineer based in Bangalore, India to lead cybersecurity initiatives for high-stakes projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (BE/B.Tech) or higher and 7+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, including risk assessment, security architecture, third-party management, and incident resolution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to cybersecurity risk assessment, design, and evaluation aligned with ISO 2700X, 62443, NIST, NIS, and French LPM standards.
- Managing cybersecurity for tenders, projects, and programs, including third-party vendor oversight.
- Overseeing vulnerability management, incident response, and cyber threat intelligence to stay ahead of emerging risks.
- Defining cybersecurity processes, standards, and best practices, including coaching and awareness training.
- Peer-reviewing cyber deliverables across projects and participating in industry norms and standards committees.
- Ensuring compliance with security regulations and leveraging tools like Wireshark, Nmap, OpenVAS, Metasploit, Nessus, and Truecrypt.
- Supporting embedded/industrial systems (e.g., railway/aeronautics) with expertise in risk analysis, architecture, and low-level security controls.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in at least two technical areas, including risk analysis methodologies, system/network architecture, and security evaluation techniques. Knowledge of BRP/DRP, GRC, IAM, DLP, PKI, SOC, IDS/IPS, and SAP security is highly valued.
