In Shoreline, WA, the Program Supervisor, School-Age-Shoreline will oversee and cultivate before and after school programs. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and developmentally appropriate planning and execution of engaging activities for children, with a strong emphasis on culturally relevant curriculum. The supervisor will recruit, train, and manage site staff and volunteers, conduct staff meetings, and organize professional development opportunities. Excellent communication with parents and guardians, including newsletters and conferences, is essential. Adherence to YMCA policies, including child abuse prevention and emergency procedures, is mandatory. The supervisor will maintain professional relationships with families, school personnel, and the community, potentially organizing parent events. Maintaining required staff-child ratios and providing direct supervision are key responsibilities. Accurate record-keeping (attendance, immunization, accidents, discipline, fire drills) according to YMCA and DEL standards is required. This role also involves driving enrollment and collaborating with school staff. The supervisor will manage site supplies and may be involved in budget development and site budget management. Ensuring a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment is paramount. Responsibilities extend to potentially supervising children directly, ensuring their health, safety, and positive experiences, as well as preparing and serving snacks. Attendance at required staff meetings and trainings is expected, along with fulfilling other assigned duties.
