Professional Engineer

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a talented Professional Engineer to lead civil engineering initiatives focused on stormwater infrastructure. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in assessing stormwater challenges, meticulously crafting project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and effectively managing external consultants. A key aspect of this position involves ensuring strict adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities include performing construction project management and professional civil engineering to address stormwater issues and develop capital improvement projects. You will manage contracts, engage with the public, city officials, residents, commercial entities, and other agencies. Excellent customer service, time management, communication, and writing skills are essential for handling inquiries. The role also involves reviewing consultant plans and specifications for regulatory compliance, preparing and evaluating construction bids, cost estimates, change orders, and financial analyses, and supporting the Engineering Manager in policy development and procedural improvements.
