Product Manager II - Windows Platform & Developer Experience

This role involves tackling significant challenges within the Windows ecosystem, including modernizing the app platform, reinforcing core developer fundamentals, and facilitating seamless developer reach across native, hybrid, and cross-platform technologies. We support developers by embracing their existing frameworks and workflows, while also highlighting unique Windows capabilities through deep OS integration.
As Windows evolves towards more intelligent, agent-driven experiences, this team plays a crucial role in shaping the platform primitives, APIs, and tooling that developers depend on. Your contributions will directly influence developer innovation speed, shipping confidence, and the overall quality of applications within the Windows ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Own a customer problem area within WPD, from initial definition and PRD/roadmap to execution with engineering and successful customer/field landing.
- Define and deliver WPD features by translating customer needs into platform features and guidance, fostering collaboration across product groups and stakeholders.
- Drive AI-forward product innovation by embedding AI as a core competency in product design and user experience, moving towards rapid experimentation and model-first thinking.
- Promote cross-team collaboration with engineering, PM, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end scenarios and support customer enablement.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years of experience in product/service/program management or software development, OR equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience with multiple software product development methodologies.
- Effective cross-group collaboration skills with a proven ability to drive results in cross-functional teams.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check (required upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years of experience in product/service/program management or software development, OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience improving product metrics (e.g., customer base growth, usage expansion, churn reduction) for a product, feature, or experience.
- 2+ years of experience disrupting a market (e.g., competitive disruption, displacing established products).
- AI acumen: Knowledge of language models, training, evaluations, RAG, grounding, and on-device constraints (NPU, latency, power).
- Familiarity with Windows subsystems and app development.
