Product Manager / Product Lead - Gurugram

About the Role

As a Product Manager or Product Lead at Athena, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing innovative systems, tools, and products. Your focus will be on driving efficiency, consistency, and excellence throughout the scholar journey. You will own the entire suite of our internal product offerings, including our CRM, Database, Dashboards, AI tools, and user app, playing a crucial role in elevating them to support our next phase of growth.

You will collaborate closely with our client-facing teams – Consultants, Writers, and Mentors – to pinpoint inefficiencies, streamline existing processes, and significantly enhance both the internal operational experience and the student journey.

This position is designed for individuals who possess strong product management acumen, excel at creative problem-solving, thrive on taking ownership, and hold a profound interest in the education and premium services sector.

Key Responsibilities

Product Design & Process Innovation:

• Identify inefficiencies across the entire scholar lifecycle and design innovative tools, systems, and processes to optimize them.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Consulting, Writing, and Operations, to map workflows, identify pain points, and co-create effective solutions.
• Design products and platforms that improve time efficiency, reduce redundancies, and enhance the user experience for both clients and staff.
• Actively solicit and incorporate feedback from internal teams and clients to iteratively improve existing tools and processes.

Premium Product Development:

• Ensure all Athena products reflect premium quality and an exceptional user experience, aligning with our brand ethos and the expectations of our discerning clientele.
• Develop and refine digital and non-digital touchpoints that embody Athena's commitment to excellence, maintaining consistency across all platforms.

Research & Strategic Insight:

• Stay abreast of emerging trends in undergraduate admissions, educational technology, and writing coaching.
• Leverage industry insights to inform product roadmaps and strategic decision-making.
• Anticipate shifts within the higher education landscape to ensure Athena maintains a competitive edge.

Operational Excellence:

• Develop data-driven frameworks to meticulously evaluate process efficiency and product performance.
• Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation and widespread adoption of new systems.
• Maintain a strategic balance between high-level vision and detailed execution.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Undergraduate degree from a Tier-1 institution, such as IIT or BITS.
• Strong preference will be given to candidates with prior product or startup experience.
• Ideal for professionals with 2-5 years of experience in product management, ed-tech, or technology-led roles.

Skillset:

• Possess strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills; be adept at defining metrics, conducting experiments, and making data-informed trade-offs.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver complex product projects within fast-paced environments.
• Exhibit clear and confident communication skills, capable of driving projects forward and aligning stakeholders through both written and verbal interaction.
• Display an entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias for action – be proactive, structured, and outcome-oriented.
• Show genuine curiosity about AI and its potential to enhance product intelligence and scalability.
