About the Role

Liberty GIL Mumbai is seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Product Manager-Commercial Lines Underwriting to support our strategic goal of profitable growth. This role is based in Delhi and offers a permanent employment type.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with regional underwriting and Sales/Distribution teams to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.
• Manage and evaluate Marine Cargo underwriting referrals, ensuring adherence to prudent underwriting practices and company philosophy.
• Oversee the Marine portfolio to ensure profitability, sustainability, and growth.
• Conduct data analytics on the Marine Book to identify and assess segment performance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant audit and IRDA norms and guidelines.
• Partner with the IT team on system requirements and development initiatives.
• Provide guidance and training to Regional Underwriters and the Sales team on Marine underwriting and products.
• Foster seamless development and service for Retail and Agency marine business by working with underwriters and sales teams across different locations.
• Engage with major intermediaries, brokers, clients, and branches through visits.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Marine Cargo Underwriting.
• FIII or similar national/international certifications are preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated expertise in Marine Cargo Underwriting.
