Tesco Technology is seeking passionate Product Managers to solve complex, company-strategic product challenges. You will own the product strategy, roadmap, and outcome measurement, fostering innovation and collaboration with Business, Engineering, and Data Science teams to deliver value to customers and colleagues worldwide.

In the dynamic retail landscape, price competitiveness is a critical strategic differentiator for Tesco. The Price Competitiveness product empowers our business teams to strategically plan, optimize, and execute compelling pricing. This role is pivotal in improving customer price perception, driving higher basket conversions, and ultimately boosting overall sales performance. As a core component of Tesco's retail platform and a rapidly evolving product area, you will have significant opportunities to innovate, experiment, and shape the future of competitive pricing strategies, from intelligent competitive data utilization to designing next-generation pricing capabilities.
Your Responsibilities:
- Drive product strategy and execution for your owned product, managing multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Formulate product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning strategic priorities, dependencies, and timelines with stakeholders.
- Define key measures of success (OKRs) and monitor product performance and adoption.
- Leverage domain expertise in price management to identify and analyze new opportunities, refining and prioritizing requirements.
- Plan and coordinate complex product initiatives with cross-functional dependencies.
- Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog, including user stories, and groom it with the team.
- Steer sprint and release planning sessions with engineering to maximize business value delivery.
- Identify and drive improvements in product performance, service levels, quality, reliability, and security.
- Lead discovery work for Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), collaborating with teams and stakeholders for prototyping and validation.
- Break down complex work into epics and stories for faster, incremental delivery.
- Proactively identify and remove impediments, flagging risks and delays to senior product management.
- Ensure product performance and adoption, working to grow the customer base.

What We're Looking For:
- In-depth understanding of retail price management and innovative thinking.
- Ability to derive data-driven decisions for price competitiveness product capabilities.
- Proven experience in building customer-centric products; retail pricing experience is a plus.
- Ability to articulate complex product strategy in terms of consumer and business value.
- Experience with agile methodologies, ceremonies, and technology stacks.
- Proficiency in defining user stories, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and estimation.
- Conceptual understanding of price competitiveness across multiple channels (web, mobile, store) and geographies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Experience managing external agency work to high standards.
- Ability to influence without direct authority.
- Proven success in solving unstructured problems, defining hypotheses, creating MVPs, running experiments, and analyzing results.
- Strong knowledge of product management best practices and methodologies, with technical acumen.
- Ability to influence and understand solution context and approach, aiding engineering estimations.
- Understanding of tech debt impact and value of tech upgrades, with the ability to prioritize them.
- Strong prioritization and decision-making skills related to business priorities and resource allocation.
- Previous experience as a Product Manager in Retail, specifically in price management or competitiveness for Grocery.
- Familiarity with multi-cultural, geographically distributed teams.
- Flexibility, strong organization, responsiveness, creativity, and a self-starter attitude.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with peers and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated written, verbal communication, and presentation skills across all organizational levels.
- A tenacious, can-do, will-do mentality.

2 to 5 years of experience in Product Management.
