Product Manager - Affordable Mortgage Loans

IDFC FIRST Bank is seeking a dynamic Product Manager to oversee the complete lifecycle of Affordable Home Loans (HL) & Loan Against Property (LAP) products within its Affordable Mortgage Loans business unit. Based in Mumbai at Naman Chambers, this strategic role demands expertise in product development, process optimization, market analysis, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring the competitive edge of our mortgage offerings in the Indian market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the affordable mortgage sector.
• Perform competitor analysis, including SWOT assessments, to inform product strategy and positioning.
• Define and refine product features and market positioning in response to dynamic market conditions.
• Execute post-launch product audits and continuous competitor evaluation.
• Analyze key product and portfolio performance metrics to drive data-informed decisions.
• Optimize pricing structures and adapt marketing and promotional strategies for maximum impact.
• Evaluate channel performance and rationalize product portfolios to enhance efficiency.
• Design and implement innovative, user-friendly customer journeys for seamless loan experiences.
• Spearhead the customization and digitization of loan processes and underlying system platforms.
• Determine product pricing through comprehensive market research and cost-benefit analysis.
• Analyze P&L statements to identify critical trends and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Develop and conduct training modules for internal teams to ensure product knowledge and adoption.
• Facilitate smooth product operations by coordinating effectively with support verticals and stakeholders.
• Maintain essential Management Information Systems (MIS) and product documentation for periodic reviews.

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience in training delivery, MIS management, and cross-functional coordination.
• Strong analytical acumen with proficiency in market research methodologies and performance analysis.
• Solid understanding of affordable mortgage products and the broader rural asset market landscape in India.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to streamline business processes and champion digital transformation initiatives.

Experience Required: 2-5 years

Education: Any Graduation
