Product Engineer

Rotor Clip is seeking a motivated Product Engineer in Somerset, NJ, to become a vital technical authority and key driver within our Product Engineering department. This role is crucial for ensuring our product development yields technically sound, cost-effective solutions that meet stringent industry standards. You will be instrumental in reviewing RFQs, customer prints, and technical requirements to assess product feasibility, analyze designs for manufacturability, cost, risk, and compliance, and develop precise cost estimates. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and technical documentation, serving as a product expert for assigned families, and interpreting industry and customer-specific standards. You'll collaborate with Sales and Production on technical quoting, provide comprehensive engineering support across the product lifecycle, and act as a technical liaison between customers, manufacturing, quality, and sales. This position also involves assisting in resolving technical issues and nonconformances, participating in design reviews and customer meetings, and contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes. A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills are essential. Familiarity with manufacturing environments is a plus.
