Esri, the world leader in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and creator of ArcGIS, is seeking a talented Product Engineer specializing in Software Reliability for our Delhi, India location. We empower customers to solve challenging geospatial problems and make a significant difference globally. As part of our team, you will help build the next generation of ArcGIS Enterprise, delivering state-of-the-art geospatial capabilities to thousands of customers and millions of users worldwide. Our team develops cutting-edge, highly scalable, and reliable distributed software for on-premises and cloud deployments, ensuring geographic information and analyses are available on any device, anywhere, at any time.

Software Reliability Engineers at Esri are crucial in ensuring the reliability, high availability, and robust disaster recovery features of the ArcGIS Enterprise product. This involves gathering user requirements, defining them for the engineering team, evaluating the product, and guiding users through comprehensive documentation, informative videos, and engaging presentations.

Responsibilities

• Champion Esri's user-centric approach by actively gathering software reliability and availability requirements.
• Collect requirements directly from users and indirectly from Esri's Support and Professional Services teams.
• Collaborate effectively and influence decisions across and within teams, recognizing that reliability features and requirements are integral to all product functionalities.
• Prioritize and ensure software quality by developing test plans, automating test execution, evaluating results, and verifying that identified defects are addressed.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with our users through well-crafted written documentation and impactful presentations.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of experience in roles with operational responsibilities, including monitoring, maintaining, and deploying enterprise software.
• Proven experience in software testing methodologies.
• Fundamental understanding of web services, such as RESTful APIs.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems within a backend-server stack environment.
• Effective communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science and applications, mathematics, GIS, geography, or a related technical field.
• Must possess existing work authorization for India.

Recommended Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, computer science and applications, mathematics, GIS, geography, or a related technical field.
• Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Prior experience working directly within a software development team.
