Product Designer

Who this role is for

We are looking for a Product Designer with two-plus years of experience who builds rather than just presents ideas. You should be comfortable opening Figma or taking notes before writing specs and already integrated into your workflow AI tools, not viewing them as novelties.

You will join a team rebuilding product design at Jupiter where agents are part of the interface. While you may not have shipped an AI-native product yet, you must learn quickly to apply agentic principles daily.

The Context

Jupiter is a neobank spanning savings, payments, cards, loans, investments, and insurance in India (Bengaluru/Bangalore). We operate through RBI-regulated partner banks. AI is core infrastructure here; production agents already run parts of the business.

At this level, you will design conventional flows like onboarding and activation to a high craft standard while contributing to agentic surfaces that turn senior specs into real states using AI tools for rapid iteration.

Your Day-to-Day

• Own Execution: You will execute defined slices of work, not entire funnels. A senior designer owns the strategy; you own the craft and detail within your slice (layout, copy, edge cases).
• Turn Specs into Screens: Work closely with Product to end-to-end UX/UI.
• AI-First Workflow: Use AI for first-pass explorations, variants, and drafts. Focus your time on judgment calls regarding trustworthiness and clarity.
• Prototype First: Ship working prototypes before handoff; static frames are not sufficient.
• Trust & Safety: Collaborate closely with senior reviews on high-stakes screens involving money movement due to the financial risks involved.

Growth Path

This role builds classic execution craft and fluency in agentic design (non-deterministic states, conversation design). High performers can own a full surface within their first year and influence AI interaction systems by year two.

What We Expect vs. Don't Need on Day One

• We do not expect a track record of shipped AI products or an immediate point-of-view on our entire agent design language.
• You will learn to defend metrics alongside someone senior rather than doing it independently immediately.

Interview Process

• Show us something you built (personal project, hackathon) that demonstrates building skills over just speculating.
• Discuss a past design decision you would change now to show self-awareness.
• Demonstrate your daily AI tool habits and reasoning for choosing them.
• Complete a paired exercise on a rough flow where we watch how you think rather than judging pixel polish.

This is an in-person role based in Bengaluru, India. Requires 2+ years of experience in product design (consumer or fintech) and reporting to a senior designer.
