About the Role

As a Product Data Scientist within the Enterprise Buying Platforms team in Bengaluru, India, you will provide essential quantitative support, market insights, and strategic perspectives to internal partners. You'll act as an analytics expert, leveraging data to drive informed decision-making and influence product strategy and development. Your role involves translating complex data into compelling narratives, making critical recommendations to Engineering and Product Management teams. You will thrive in an environment that blends deep data analysis with clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Execute well-defined, moderately complex investigative tasks, often with minimal direct supervision, reporting to a manager or executive team member/TL.
- Manage your workload effectively, aligning with team priorities and timelines, and proactively communicate any potential delays.
- Handle data communication, clearly articulating its limitations and significance to various stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Research Scientists to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for Google Ads measurement products.
- Select and apply appropriate analytical approaches to address technical challenges, seeking guidance from managers or executive team members when necessary.
- Conduct thorough analyses of large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that will shape product strategy and future development.
- Present data and analysis findings in a clear, concise, and impactful manner to diverse audiences, including product leadership, engineering teams, and business partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a closely related quantitative field.
- 2 years of professional experience in analysis applications (e.g., extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, solving business problems) and coding proficiency (Python, R, SQL). A Master's degree may substitute for 1 year of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a closely related quantitative field.
- 3 years of professional experience in analysis applications (e.g., extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, solving business problems) and coding proficiency (Python, R, SQL).
- A strong understanding of digital advertising measurement concepts, including attribution modeling, incrementality testing, and media mix modeling (MMM).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
