About The Role
We are looking for a Privacy Program Engineer to own the technical core of our privacy program. You will write scripts, queries, and automation tools rather than managing a ticket queue. Reporting directly to our Privacy Lead, you will be a key owner of large portions of our privacy program.
- Build Automation: Create an automated pipeline for data subject requests (DSRs), including identity verification, fan-out across data stores, and fulfillment tracking with audit trails.
- Data Inventory & ROPA: Dynamically derive your Data Register of Processing Activities from cloud APIs, warehouse metadata, IaC, and service catalogs to automatically map systems and reconcile drift.
- Tech Stack Skills: Use SQL, scripting languages (Python/Bash), AI tooling, LLM agents, or workflow engines. You must be comfortable querying databases without assistance.
- Privacy by Design: Embed privacy into engineering practices through PR reviews for data handling, advising on de-identification, pseudonymization, tokenization, and field-level encryption.
Who This Role Is For
You build systems to eliminate manual work. You read code to understand how services use data. You take projects from rough problems to completion with extreme ownership. With 4–7 years of experience in privacy/GRC/IT audit, you have hands-on expertise with GDPR and CCPA.
