Principal Software Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the visual modernization of an established application using Vue.js within our Suite Experience initiative. In this hands-on senior role, you will refresh and elevate user interfaces by transitioning legacy jQuery pages into modern, component-based Vue while maintaining existing behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modernize Legacy Codebase: Transform established application interfaces from jQuery to responsive, accessible, and performant Vue components without a ground-up rewrite.
• Enhance UI/UX Quality: Establish robust front-end architecture focusing on component structure, CSS efficiency, state management, and overall performance optimization.
• Leverage AI-Assisted Development: Utilize agentic coding, spec-driven development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor), and AI-augmented code reviews to maximize velocity and ramp up quickly on our unique stack.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management and UX Design to translate experience goals into scalable technical solutions integrated cleanly with evolving backend services via RESTful APIs.

Technical Expectations:

You will demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Vue 3, TypeScript, Modern JavaScript, and CSS architecture. Experience modernizing legacy jQuery codebases within a PHP-backed environment is highly valued. You must possess strong architectural thinking skills while remaining deeply hands-on with implementation.
